Leanne Sherriff

Senior Environmental Consultant

I am a passionate agro-ecologist with over 20 years of experience working in conservation and land management. My career began with an environmental science focus and then expanded to include grazing management and sheep production.  I am a natural collaborator who enjoys working with others to develop solutions. As a practitioner working with complex systems, I enjoy the challenge of constant adaptation and learning.

I have extensive experience in designing and delivering effective extension and training for farmers, facilitating groups, and stakeholder engagement and consultation. And this is all underpinned by (nerd alert!) a genuine passion for monitoring and evaluation, which is linked to my desire to deliver meaningful, practical outcomes.

I live with my partner on his family farm near Cressy and help with the sheep operation (mainly so I get to hang out with my dog). My happy place is outdoors - spending time camping, mountain biking, bushwalking or bird watching. I enjoy exploring Australia, often migrating north with tent and 4WD for the winter. I love how my work has opened opportunities to visit amazing places, and meet incredible people, who are doing incredible things.
